	Abstract
	A trendsetting molecular approach to histology Molecular Histology is the latest application from Bruker Daltonics for clinical research. It is the future trend of the new but already well known technique called “MALDI Imaging”. MALDI Imaging is a technique to acquire mass spectrometric data directly from a cryostat section of a tissue. Spectra are obtained in a measuring grid across the tissue area with high lateral resolution. Peaks can be correlated with underlying tissue architecture without any geometrical distortion, enabling true Molecular Histology.
