A new approach to PAH analysis
Polycyclic aromatic hardocarbons (PAH) are ubiquitous in the environment and many of them are considered to be carcinogenic. Therefore the analysis of these compounds at low concentrations is an important task in environmental and food analysis.
Atmospheric Pressure Laser Ionisation (APLI) in combination with the newest mass spectroscopy techniques opens new dimensions in terms of sensitivity and selectivity. It can be used in combination with GC and LC separation to cover the whole spectra of PAH.
