The Complete Molecular Confidence product suite incorporates two of Bruker’s key, complementary analytical techniques; Mass Spectrometry and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance to provide highly detailed information about molecular identity and structure.
MS Instrumentation
Time of Flight instruments are used in the solution as they are often the
best choice for accurate, high resolution molecular
formula determination. This exceptional mass resolution and mass accuracy
are maintained in all scan modes and speeds.
A wide dynamic range (5 orders of magnitude) and attomol sensitivity at
chromatography speed is delivered by the system. Both,
characteristics can be essential for molecular formula determination .
Molecular Profile
The CMC system yields a Molecular Profile in the form
of a compact report. This report details metrics for the quality of the fit of the
molecular formula, as well as any other sum formula candidates. It
even delivers a probability for the verification of the proposed molecular
structure, purity information, and the approximate quantity of the sample.
Additional Techniques
Other complementary analytical techniques can be part of the CMC suite such as Bruker`s Smart X2S benchtop instrument for fully automated crystal structure determination.
